Kihei, Maui—Since I’ve been playing pickleball (about a year now), the availability of courts have gone waaaaay down (at least at the courts I play at here on O’ahu).

There has been talk about bringing indoor pickleball facilities to Hawai’i, but with the real estate challenges in the islands, it seemed like a pipe dream.

Enter Aloha Pickleball.

Despite the challenges, they’re well on their way to building a world-class facility on Maui that’ll: (1) give Maui players more court options, (2) free up public court space, and (3) have enough capacity to host large tournaments and events.

Learn more about the status of this project on Maui in my discussion with Mark Beach and Renee Zaima of Aloha Pickleball. Enjoy!
