WHERE TO PLAY PICKLEBALL IN HAWAI’I

O’ahu:

City and County of Honolulu’s 191 public courts at 95 parks

Keehi Lagoon: 12 dedicated pickleball courts with permanent nets. Open every day. Note: although there are lights at the court, they aren’t operational right now.

• “Hosted” sites on Oahu courtesy of many, many Pickleball ‘aloha Ambassadors and found on Meetup. “Hosted” means that the nets and balls are provided, but please bring your own paddle.

• Other times not hosted means that if the courts are available (not in use), you’ll need to bring your own portable net, balls, and paddles.

Maui:

Department of Parks and Recreation Open Play

Lahaina Civic Center, Waipuilani Park in Kihei and War Memorial in Wailuku. Kula Community Center playing times are Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 – noon. Pickup matches also take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00 – 8:00 PM, at the War Memorial Complex in Wailuku,

Upcountry: Eddie Tam Gym, 931 Makawao Avenue, Makawao, on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

West Maui: Kapalua Golf and Tennis: Hybrid (members and open to the public). Non-members drop-In Rate– $20 per player / $10 per player Kama’aina on Tuesday & Saturday from 9:00am – 11:00am. For more information or to reserve a court, call (808) 662-7730.

North Shore: Maui Country Club: Hybrid (members and open to the public). They have a really cool live tennis court cam.

Kihei: Wailea Tennis Center: Hybrid (members and open to the public). $28 per player / $17 tax inclusive per player Kama’aina rate. Daily Court Fee guarantees 1.5 hours of reserved court time. For reservations, call (808) 879-1958.

Kihei: Waipuilani Park: Public. Dedicated courts with permanent nets, open every day. Can get very crowded during tourist season, from November-March/April.

Lahaina: Lahaina Civic Center: Public. Four dedicated courts.

Napili Park: Public. Four dedicated courts.

Big Island (Kona):

One of the groups in Kona, the Big Island Rogue Pickleball Hui, play at the Holua Racquet and Paddle Center in Keauhou.

Their regular hui play schedule is:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 4-9 pm

Saturday - round robins and other events check-in at 8 am, start time 8:30 am.  Registration deadline Friday at 7 pm unless otherwise noted.

Sunday - open play and beginner play from 4-7 pm.
