HONOLULU—The Chillaxin’ Hammah-Jam 50+ Pickleball Tournament was held on July 29-30 at Mid-Pacific Institute. Being over 50 myself, the idea of a 50+ tournament was (and is!) super exciting. Apparently, I’m not alone, because Tournament Mastermind Elaina Paredes had to close registration just two weeks after it opened because the the max number of players capped out at 150.
The tournament was sponsored by the Oahu Pickleball Association and organized and run by the Paredes family (Elaina, Kyle and Kylena), all for a good cause—to give Seniors a chance to play in a true Senior tournament. Other sponsors contributed prizes and gear to the event: Hawai’i Pickleball O’ahu, K2Tens, The Drip Mission, Jules Cannon with (Pro Kennex) and Ryan Sales.
Without further ado, here are the results of the Tournament:
Congratulations to all the winners, and to everyone who participated!
