Pickleball halloween costumes

Halloween is sixteen days away, and if you haven’t already ordered your costume, you’re in the right place. Since pickleball is fairly new, there aren’t a ton of ready-made costumes available. I tried to find costumes and accessories that are reasonably priced and can be delivered to you by Halloween, without astronomical shipping charges.

Note: If you click on an Amazon link and buy a product, I may earn a small commission. Thank you for supporting my newsletter and blog!

So, here we go:

Cost: $102.54 with Amazon Prime free shipping (Dress: $39.99, Wig: $27.99, Paddle: $29.95)

Dressing up as if I were living in the 70’s is my favorite way to celebrate and get in the spirit of Halloween. My two most prized costumes are (1) a real flight-attendant uniform dress from the 70’s and (2) a vintage Kahala caftan mu’umu’u, both scored at Goodwill. The best finds will always be from combing through the racks at vintage or thrift stores, but since time is of the essence, we don’t got time for that, and instead, we’ll re-create a 70’s look with stuff found on Amazon.

All three items (the dress, wig and paddle) can be delivered before Halloween. The crisp and all-white dress has built-in shorts, is moisture wicking with a racer back and most importantly, is super cute. The wig channels Farrah Fawcett (from the original Charlie’s Angels) and the paddle is modern-day retro.

Shifting gears from the 1970’s…

You may recall seeing this IRL on Bob from OPA at the recent Children and Youth Day. It’s pretty incredible that you can snag a variation of his pickle costume in time for Halloween with Prime shipping on Amazon. And better yet, this costume is 56% off right now, so it’ll run you $19.97 with free shipping (Prime) and the delivery date is estimated between October 18-21. Wow wow wow!

Can you wear it better than Bob?

This 2-pack of pickleball headbands could reach you in time for Halloween (delivery between October 28-November 4). These are cute to accessorize and show your PB pride without a full-on costume. One for you, one for a PB friend!

Cost: $26.70-$41.41 ($16.95 plus shipping)

Do Aloha Friday with some PB attitude…you can grab this aloha shirt for $16.95 (50% off at the moment, regular price is $31.90). You’ll have a myriad of color choices…this shirt comes in 44 colors!

It’s a tight timeline even with premium shipping ($8.00); the website says the shirt will be delivered between October 21-30 (between 5-12 business days)…so, if you’re willing to take a chance that you might not get it in time, this is a pretty good deal. Total cost with premium shipping: $26.70. For faster shipping, choose express shipping (3-9 business days) for a grand total of $41.41.

Cost: $51.29 ($31.99 + $16.99 shipping)

This is one of the few off-the-shelf pickleball costumes. Because of that, this appears to be a pretty popular costume and the shipping options reflect that. This is the same pickle I’ve been in (haha) in the past, when shopping for my kids’ costume(s) in the weeks just before Halloween…I’d end up paying a premium.

Here’s the best price I was able to find: Spirit Halloween has a coupon for 20% off one item, which brings the cost down to $31.99. You’ll need to pay $16.99 for shipping to Hawai’i for a total cost of $51.29. At the very least you get two costumes for the $51.29, and you’ll get the costume in time; delivery is estimated for 10/21.

*Note: There is a free shipping coupon code, but it does not apply to Hawai’i, so your best bet is to use the 20% off coupon (code: TWENTY and expires on 10/24).

Cost: $30.36 with Amazon Prime free shipping

This golf tee is something you can wear to your Halloween party if you don’t want to dress up as a giant pickle or pickleball. And, better yet, you can wear this any time of the year. A great conversation piece out on the golf course…it looks like any other “normal” printed golf shirt until you get up close enough to see the pickles playing pickleball. And it’s moisture wicking to boot!

Cost: $20.88 with Amazon Prime free shipping + an old pickleball that you were going to trash anyway

Found this pic on The Kitchen Pickleball’s IG feed from last Halloween. If you wanted to be all gory this Halloween like this guy, all you’d need is an old pickleball, some fake blood and spirit gum (spirit gum is the skin-safe adhesive used by special fx makeup artists). If you order today, you’ll have the fake blood in hand by Sunday and the spirit gum just before Halloween.
